Affiliate Partner Specification & Policy

Version 1.0 · hairmax.co.uk · UK & European Markets

hairmax® operates a performance-based affiliate programme for partners who generate genuinely incremental demand for our clinically validated laser hair regrowth devices. This document defines the rules, permitted methods, and expectations for all affiliate partners regardless of the platform through which they joined. Partners who operate outside these terms will be removed without notice and forgo any outstanding commissions.

Programme Overview

Item Detail
Commission structure Standard rate applies to net order value (excluding VAT, shipping, and refunds). Commission rates are communicated at onboarding and reviewed quarterly.
Cookie window 30-day last-click attribution. Commissions are not paid on orders that fall outside the cookie window or where attribution is disputed due to policy violations.
Payment terms Commissions are paid 30 days after the end of the calendar month in which the order was confirmed, subject to the return/refund window passing.
Eligible markets UK (primary), Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands. Affiliates must clearly identify which markets they target at onboarding.
Minimum threshold Payable commissions require a minimum £50 balance. Balances below this roll forward to the following month.

Approved Traffic & Promotion Methods

The following methods are approved where they are used to reach new, cold audiences who have not previously encountered the hairmax® brand through our own marketing channels.

Incremental traffic principle

All approved promotion must target audiences who are not already in the hairmax® purchase funnel. Content should educate, build awareness, and expand our customer base — not intercept existing demand. If your promotion is primarily capturing users who already know the hairmax® brand, it is not compliant regardless of channel.

Branded paid search
  • Bidding on "Hairmax", "Hair Max", "HairMax UK" or any variation
  • Branded Google Shopping / PMAX campaigns
  • Branded Bing / Microsoft Ads
  • Branded misspellings & close variants
  • Any ad appearing in response to branded search intent
Retargeting & remarketing
  • Meta retargeting of hairmax® website visitors
  • Google Display / YouTube remarketing lists
  • Customer list uploads derived from our data
  • Pixel-based lookalike audiences seeded from our traffic
  • Retargeting via any DSP or programmatic platform
Coupon & deal traffic
  • Coupon aggregator sites (VoucherCodes, Honey, etc.)
  • Browser extensions that inject discount codes at checkout
  • Cashback platforms (TopCashback, Quidco, etc.)
  • Deal community posts (HotUKDeals, Reddit deals, etc.)
  • Offering unapproved discount codes publicly
Direct & deceptive linking
  • Direct linking from paid ads to our product pages
  • Cookie stuffing or forced affiliate-link clicks
  • Cloaked funnels or misleading redirect chains
  • Fake review sites using our brand name in the domain
  • Content that misrepresents official hairmax® endorsement
Trademark misuse
  • hairmax® trademark in domain names or social handles
  • Unmodified use of our logo in paid ad creative
  • Implying official partnership not confirmed in writing
  • "Hairmax official" or "Hairmax authorised" branding
Brand-damaging content
  • Medical or clinical claims beyond approved copy
  • Before/after imagery not from the approved asset library
  • Content targeting individuals with extensive or complete hair loss
  • Comparison ads that disparage competitors
  • Content that violates UK ASA/CAP advertising standards

Content & Brand Standards

All partner-created content must reflect hairmax®'s positioning as a clinically validated, premium medical device. The brand voice is professional, trustworthy, optimistic, and caring. The following standards apply to all content that mentions or promotes hairmax®.

Standard Requirement
Spelling & trademark Always written as "hairmax®" in body copy or "Hairmax®" at sentence start. First instance on any page must include the ® symbol. Not "HairMax", "Hair Max" or "HAIRMAX".
Clinical claims Partners may reference that hairmax® devices are FDA-cleared and backed by 7 clinical studies across 460 men and women with a 93% success rate. No additional clinical or medical efficacy claims may be made without prior written approval.
Photography & imagery Use only imagery from the approved hairmax® partner asset library. Models should be 30–60 years of age, healthy-looking with visible hair. Do not depict individuals with extensive hair loss or baldness.
Tone Hopeful and empathetic — hair loss is a sensitive topic. Avoid making light of hair loss or using alarmist language. Lead with solutions, outcomes, and confidence.
Discount codes Partners will be issued a dedicated tracking code. This code may only be promoted on channels declared at onboarding. Public broadcast of unapproved codes will result in immediate programme suspension.
Advertising law compliance All content must comply with UK CAP/ASA guidelines and equivalent EU regulations in other target markets. "Ad", "Sponsored", or "#ad" must be clearly labelled where required by law.

Onboarding & Vetting Process

Application & disclosure Complete the affiliate application including full disclosure of: traffic channels used, whether you run paid ads, GEOs targeted, current or past use of branded PPC, and any existing competitor partnerships.

Review & approval hairmax® reviews applications within 5 business days. We may request samples of your content, landing pages, or ad account structure before approving. Applications with vague or incomplete channel disclosures will be declined.

Policy acknowledgement Approved partners must sign (or digitally accept) this Affiliate Policy before receiving access to creative assets, tracking links, or discount codes.

Asset provision Upon approval, partners receive access to the hairmax® approved creative library, a unique affiliate tracking link, and an assigned discount/tracking code.

Ongoing monitoring hairmax® actively monitors affiliate traffic via Google Analytics, paid search auction insights, and affiliate platform reporting. Any anomalies will be investigated and partners contacted for explanation.

Monitoring & Enforcement

We monitor affiliate activity continuously. The following signals will trigger an immediate investigation:

Grounds for immediate termination Confirmed branded search bidding, use of retargeting against our audiences, coupon injector activity, trademark misuse in domains or ad copy, cookie stuffing, or creation of content that makes unapproved medical claims will result in immediate programme termination, forfeiture of all unpaid commissions, and where applicable, referral for legal review. There is no warning process for wilful policy violations.

Contact & Disputes

All affiliate enquiries, attribution disputes, and creative approval requests should be submitted via the affiliate programme contact email provided at onboarding. Commission disputes must be raised within 30 days of the commission statement date. hairmax® reserves the right to update this policy at any time; partners will be notified of material changes with 14 days' notice.
